Some of the most common motions and requests are Requests for Jury, Motions for Continuance; Motions to Amend Petitions; and Motions for Temporary Orders. You must fill out the caption with your name and the plaintiff's just as they are written on the summons and complaint. A reply in support of a motion shall be filed not later than 7 days after the filing of the response to the motion. A motion for an extension of time to file a responsive pleading may be made under Tex. If you do not, then you will automatically lose your case and lose your chance. After review, the petition or pleading is sent to the Family Court in the county where the non-custodial parent lives. No such deadline currently appears in the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
