California's new Rule of Professional Conduct 8.3, which goes into effect August 1, 2023, establishes a duty to report the misconduct of other lawyers. On May 10, 2018, the California Supreme Court issued an order approving a new set of Rules of Professional Conduct, effective November 1, 2018.A full dozen proposed changes that the Texas Committee on Disciplinary Rules and Referenda, or CDRR, submitted to the State Bar of Texas Board of Directors. A:__Any person who believes that a rule of professional conduct has been violated may file a complaint with the State Bar. Please allow the office sufficient time to fill out the form.
