Miami Dade Bar Association to serve the public and the Bar. Taking the Bar in a different state is easy.You'll take a pre-Bar course which will teach you what you need for that state's specific laws. You must register with the State Bar in the Applicant Portal. Law students must register within 90 days of beginning the study of law. The Bar Application is available on this website. The board requires completion of the application online. The Law Registrar's Office can complete state bar forms, including out of state Dean's Certifications. Additionally, the site provides access to a program for completing the Bar Application online and for printing Bar Application supporting forms. You can go inactive in the state that you aren't planning to practice in, but you'll still pay some dues, though the CLE will be more than likely waived.
