The Advisory Opinion Service is available to licensed Minnesota Attorneys, Judges and Out of State Lawyers regarding compliance with Minnesota's ethics rules. Unfortunately, the California State Bar has not answered this question. The best time is to take the bar exam right after you graduate from law school. After graduation, you take a bar prep course for two months, then the bar exam. The board considers these opinions to be guidelines for the conduct of lawyers in the state of Minnesota. The Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board promulgates opinions to interpret some of the Minnesota Rules of Professional Conduct. Alabama Rule of Civil Procedure 87 details the procedures for establishing and completing limited scope representation. This means that a lawyer may be subject to disciplinary action in multiple states for the same conduct.
