We suggest a pinion angle to be between -2 to -4 degrees when used with CalTracs.

The traction bars do really have a positive impact on your traction. The reduction in 60 ft. times is real. However...it takes a little getting used in tight corners, pulling in to parking spots, in and out garages, sharp turns, etc.

Bolt-On Traction: Installing Traction Bars Thread nuts onto the J-bolts and trial fit them to the axlehousing. Attach the traction bar to the differential housing. the rubber snubber and lift the differential housing until the weight of the car is on the leaf springs.

Place two jack stands below the axle tubes for support. I am looking into getting a CalTrac type traction bar setup for my LUV.I found some solid info on the website "Hotrods and Hemi's. CALTRACS INSTALL GUIDE - STANDARD. The cal tracs were designed to work only with a mono leaf set up. Park truck on a flat work area, chocking the front tires is advised to avoid rolling. Drag Racing 60ft with caltracs on 10 bolts What kind of 60ft times are you guys pulling on a caltrac set up and 10 bolts? I was wondering how well would the caltracs work with the Extra Hd springs (the hemi springs) on a 69 Charger ? I was talking to a chasis shop down the road from my place and filled him in on my slick spinning problem. Adjust bars equally side to side.
