Nevada is one of the few remaining states to have not adopted the Uniform Bar Examination (UBE®). Still, the silver state uses one UBE component—the Multistate Bar Examination (MBE®), developed by the National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE®).

Sept 11 (Reuters) - Nevada will not use the overhauled national bar exam set to debut in 2026 for lawyer licensing, following a similar move by California last month.

The following are not UBE jurisdictions: California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Mississippi, Nevada, South Dakota, Virginia, Wisconsin, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Louisiana, and Puerto Rico.

Texas's additional reciprocity requirements include: Law Degree. A law degree from an ABA approved law school (determined at the time of enrollment or graduation and not at a later date). Character and Fitness.

The Uniform Bar Exam (UBE) is appealing to many bar exam takers due to the portability of scores. States that administer the UBE all administer the same MBE, MEE, and MPT portions. You will receive a score that can then, in most cases, be transferred to another UBE jurisdiction.

Nevada has NO RECIPROCITY OR ADMISSION BY MOTION of any kind.

MBE — Only 175 of the 200 multiple-choice questions are graded. The remaining 25 are pilot questions for future exams. An NCBE-scaled score of 138 is required to pass and will result in a raw score of 42.

(5) satisfy the jurisdiction's Character and Fitness qualifications for admission. I have found (and I think most lawyers would agree) that bar admissions agencies frown upon nondisclosure.
