California does not offer bar reciprocity. If you want to practice in California you must pass the California bar and be admitted there.Each state has its own rules and requirements for admission, which may include: passing an exam. California does not use the Uniform Bar Exam. Instead, it requires the California Bar Examination. You can not transfer a bar exam score from California to another jurisdiction, because California is not a UBE state and has no reciprocity agreements. Score 85 or higher on the MPRE. 1.
