State what the lawyer did or failed to do which may be unethical. If you think your lawyer has violated an ethical rule, you may file a complaint with the disciplinary board in the state where the lawyer is licensed. If a client has grounds for an ethical grievance, they can fill out a New Jersey attorney ethics grievance form. Judges, unpaid lien holders or opposing parties can also complain against an attorney, which will result in the opening of an investigation. You cannot sue the opposing attorney under the circumstances you describe.
