No, the law prohibits any employer from preventing an employee from serving as a juror. The law also prohibits an employer from depriving a juror of benefits because of jury service, such as requiring you to use vacation time to serve.

If you have a hearing, sight, or mobility concern, please advise the Court Administration Office prior to your service. Business or casual business attire is appropriate in the courtroom. Jurors may not wear blue jeans or sleeveless tops.

While jeans are acceptable for jury duty in most courtrooms avoid jeans with rips and tears since you will be sitting for a long time choose relaxed fit jeans with a bit of stretch for all day comfort just to be sure, check with your couthouse to continue that jeans are okay to wear.
