NRS 598.0947 - "Trade name" defined. If you have been a victim of consumer fraud or deceptive trade practices, you have rights under Nevada law. Like many states, Nevada enacted deceptive trade practices statutes to protect consumers. Among the several acts defined as consumer fraud, NRS 41.600(2). (e) includes any of the deceptive trade practices described in the NDTPA's. The Nevada Attorney General points out that a deceptive trade is any act that aims to mislead the consumer. Violations of the law are considered unfair or deceptive trade practices subject to enforcement under the Nevada Consumer Protection Act.
