No supplier shall commit an unfair or deceptive act or practice in connection with a consumer transaction. A set of laws that aim to protect consumers from sales practices that are deceptive, unfair, or unconscionable. Suppose a consumer successfully proves unfair or deceptive practices. The law expressly prohibits suppliers from engaging in unfair or deceptive acts or practices "in connection with" a consumer transaction. We share these reports with our law enforcement partners and use them to investigate fraud and eliminate unfair business practices. Laws prohibiting unfair, deceptive, or abusive business practices protect consumers in each state.
