In its strictest meaning, an international human rights court is an international court whose ratione materiae jurisdiction is attached to a binding international human rights instrument. Generally, dedicated IHRCs are created specifically to supervise the implementation of their respective human rights treaties.

Human rights reports should be written on the basis of corroborated information. While different types of reports may require different levels of corroboration, they should never be based on rumours or uncorroborated information.

If you wish to report a complaint, you can do so with: the Special Procedures of the Human Rights Council (independent human rights experts), the human rights Treaty Bodies (committees of independent experts); or the Human Rights Council.
