A charge of discrimination is a signed statement asserting that an organization engaged in employment discrimination. "Discriminate" is defined in the dictionary as "to see the difference between things" and "to make distinctions in treatment.Title VII prohibits employers with 15 or more employees from discriminating based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Intentional discrimination happens for many reasons. Racial discrimination in the workplace involves someone you work with treating you unfairly based on your race. Employers regularly make employment decisions regarding who gets hired, promoted, and fired. Another form of discrimination in the workplace is sexual discrimination. The ADA protects job applicants and employees with disabilities are protected from employment discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in the workplace. Not all is fair in business, and not all business practices are legal. These laws prohibit discrimination, protect the constitutional rights of residents, and affirm equal opportunity for all.
