In 2021, Upbound Group, Inc. acquired Acima. AcceptanceNow offers lease-to-own solutions at furniture and electronics retail stores nationwide.

Rent-a-Center, Acima's parent company, is now known as Upbound Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: UPBD). Acima was co-founded in 2013 by defendant Aaron Allred, who also served as its chief executive officer, and has operated under a number of brand names, including Simple Finance.

Launched in 2006, under the brand name RAC Acceptance, Rent-A-Center, Inc. operates lease-to-own kiosks within third-party retail locations across the country. The kiosks transitioned to the AcceptanceNOW brand in January 2014.

At the most basic level, or the simplest acceptance sampling plan can be noted as: We inspect or test a single sample of a product lot. If the sampled item is good, then one accepts the entire lot. If the sampled item is defective, reject the entire lot.

The Acceptance Number (c) is the maximum number of non-conformances allowed within the sample. The acceptance number is derived from a combination of the AQL you select for the attribute being inspected for, and the sample size.
