CHICAGO — Chicago-area travelers will soon be able to spend a day zipping around the region on public transit using one combined fare ticket. The governing bodies of the CTA, Metra and Pace authorized a new “regional day pass,” allowing riders to use each transit system on a single ticket.

If you're traveling with other people, Ventra Cards can be used for up to seven people at once. At train stations, each person should individually touch a Ventra Card that's being shared, and enter when indicated.

You can enjoy unlimited rides on all CTA buses and trains with our 1-Day, 3-day, 7-day or 30-day unlimited-ride passes. Whenever you pay, take out and touch only your desired payment method (card, ticket, mobile device, etc.) to the Ventra fare reader.Students who would like to opt in to receive a U-Pass should log in to their student portal at my.ccc. Edu and fill out the U-Pass form under "Announcements. Paper applications are available to download, fill out, and mail in. Those wishing to apply in person can do so at 62 registration sites. All persons with a qualifying disability who are not enrolled in the Illinois Department on Aging's Benefit Access program are eligible for reduced fare permit. Your card lets you pay for people who travel with you, even if you're using a pass. By applying for a permit, permittees acknowledge and accept the fees posted in the Permit Fee Schedule. Use of MPC does not require pre-approval.
