(RESPOND) was designed by DHS specifically for young people diag- nosed with mental retardation and/ or developmental disabilities and severe behavioral difficulties whose complex needs were not being met by traditional resources.
OPTIONS - Home and community-based services funded primarily through the Aging Block Grant. The services in this program are provided to eligible consumers aged 60+ to assist them in maintaining independence with the highest level of functioning in the community and delay the need for more costly care/services.
The OPTIONS Program provides care management and in-home services to older adults who are experiencing some degree of frailty in their physical or mental health status. Potential consumers for this program may be considering nursing facility care or other placement options, but would prefer to remain at home.
