Your business license number (sometimes called a company license number) can be found on your business license and is part of what allows you to legally operate. Your EIN (also called a tax ID) is a different number that the IRS uses to identify your business.
Any person who maintains a permanent business location or branch office within the City of Homestead, engaging in or managing any business, profession or occupation, must obtain and maintain a Business Tax Receipt, also known as a Business License.
All Business Tax Receipts should be renewed on or before September 30th to avoid any additional fees. Per Florida Statute 205, the name Occupational License has been changed to Business Tax Receipt.
