Your Washington driving record can be obtained through the Washington State Department of Licensing online, by mail or in person. To order your record online, complete the driving records request form.
When you go to the driver licensing office, you will need to present proof of identity, and provide your Social Security number if you are applying for a driver license. You must provide your current Washington residential address and mailing address, if different.
In order to be able to drive again, you need to apply for a new licence. You can find our more about the process of applying for a new licence from the Department of Transport website. If you are convicted of certain traffic offences, your licence can also be automatically cancelled.
Driving while license suspended (DWLS 1 & DWLS 2) Both DWLS 1 and DWLS 2 carry mandatory additional license suspensions if convicted. DWLS 1 carries mandatory jail sentences of 10 days for the first conviction, 90 days for the second conviction and 180 days for the third conviction.
