If you missed your court date, you should call the court as soon as possible to explain your absence and offer to appear in court immediately. I missed my court date? What do I do? You may contact the clerk of court's office of the county in which you were charged to ask about the local procedure for having your case rescheduled. If you are represented by counsel, you also may contact your attorney.

You should express to the lawyer you want a reschedule. The lawyer can let the court know they need more time to prepare for the hearing if that is the case.

You will need to provide the following: Three copies of the complaint, stating the claim(s) and what relief is requested from the magistrate. Three copies of the Magistrate Summons.
