Deadline to apply is April 1. MEC Scholarship Application (PDF).On FEBRUARY 29, 2024 using the online application provided in the link below. To qualify, you must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. An essay, FAFSA, and a letter of recommendation are required for the application. A copy of your Letter of Acceptance. A "Letter of Acceptance", or other proof of enrollment from the college the applicant is, or will be, attending must be submitted with the application. When you complete the FAFSA you are considered for state aid at a community college, an independent college, or any one of the UNC institutions. I am delighted to have been chosen as the 2021 winner of the James T. Kirk Scholarship. I gratefully accept your generous offer.
