Hybrid learning seeks to use the best of synchronous face-to-face classroom experience and the online tools that allow us to create a truly virtual classroom.
Blended/Hybrid learning courses require some on-campus time and offer the flexibility to incorporate distance learning with on-site instruction.
Hybrid courses mix in-person and remote participation While the in-person meetings may often include blended teaching elements, hybrid courses set the expectation that all students will engage in some parts of the course in person and in other parts of the course through remote, fully online participation.
Collin College, in partnership with ed2go, offers affordable and convenient short courses online designed to help you build personal and professional skills. Ed2go online courses are project-oriented and include lessons, quizzes, hands-on assignments, discussion areas and supplementary links.
Benefits of hybrid classes Flexibility in learning pace and access to online resources extend education beyond the classroom. Personalized support and immediate feedback are more accessible in hybrid settings. Hybrid learning fosters a sense of community and belonging among students.

Face-to-Face are in-person courses which consist of regularly scheduled face-to-face meetings at specific campus location; some use of technology is used to support learning. Hybrid courses are courses in which the instruction is a mix of in-person classroom activities and online.
You register the same way for an online course as you would a face to face course. There are two ways to register for online courses: in person at the Admission and Records Office, on the Admissions website / or, through CougarWeb.
