To take the Arizona Bar Exam, you must have graduated with a Juris Doctorate (JD) from a law school approved by the American Bar Association (ABA).

A casebook is a type of textbook used primarily by students in law schools.

For purposes of becoming an Arizona attorney, applicants are required to have graduated from a law school that is accredited by the American Bar Association. There are more than 200 of them. Candidates for admission need not limit themselves geographically unless they want to.

Arizona Announces Plan to Adopt NextGen Bar Exam in July 2027. MADISON, WISCONSIN, December 5, 2023 — Arizona is among the first jurisdictions to announce that it will administer the NextGen bar exam, which will replace the exam currently used to license attorneys across the US.

In California, qualified applicants can take the bar exam without going to law school. Most law schools require a college degree, but some may only ask for equivalent course work, and some law schools focus on your legal interest and life experiences and not on your grades or LSAT scores.

Under the rules of the State Bar of Arizona, you must graduate from an ABA-approved law school in the United States (not necessarily in Arizona) to become a member of the state's bar.

The Juris Doctor program offers a large selection of courses with options for transdisciplinary study with other departments on campus.

You can send the court papers by giving the post office copies of the court papers in an envelope, postage prepaid, to be sent to the other party by any form of mail requiring a signed and returned receipt. This is often called Certified Mail, Restricted Delivery by the post office.

The Legal Document Preparer Program certifies legal document preparers in Arizona who provide document preparation assistance and services to individuals and entities not represented by an attorney. Legal document preparers may provide general legal information but may not give legal advice.

Currently, Washington, Vermont, California and Virginia are the only four states that allow this process. Wyoming, New York and Maine allow lawyers to practice without earning a J.D. degree, although they must have at least some law school experience.
