What We Do – CSB Mission. To provide and coordinate a system of community-based supports for individuals and families of Fairfax County and the cities of Fairfax and Falls Church who are affected by developmental disability, serious emotional disturbance (youth), mental illness and/or substance use disorders.
Virginia's public behavioral health (mental health or substance use disorder) and developmental services system consists of 12 state-operated facilities and 41 locally-run community services boards (CSBs and behavioral health authorities (BHAs).
In order to provide comprehensive mental health, developmental, and substance abuse services within a continuum of care, the community services board shall function as the single point of entry into publicly funded mental health, developmental, and substance abuse services.
The Board of Supervisors establishes county government policy, passes resolutions and ordinances (within the limits of its authority established by the Virginia General Assembly), approves the budget, sets local tax rates, approves land use plans and makes appointments to various positions.
With nine locations in Fairfax County to choose from we can offer something to everyone.
The Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) provides lifesaving services for people experiencing mental health concerns, substance misuse and/or developmental disabilities. Our vision is that everyone in our community has the support needed to live a healthy, fulfilling life.
