If people are gracious enough to let me know they are leaving, I write them a letter and thank them for their attendance and past service. The question here is not, how do I leave a church?I did leave, and am now in a new place much better for me. Thank you, thank you, for all you've done, for your sweet heart for the Lord and for your neighbors. Communicate clearly and graciously. I recommend doing this in person, on the phone, or through a thoughtful, personal email. Try to leave graciously. A new and rapidly growing Christian movement is openly political, wants a nation under God's authority, and is central to Donald Trump's GOP.
