As per Section 173(1), every company is required to hold a minimum number of four meetings of its Board of Directors every year in such a manner that not more than one hundred and twenty days shall intervene between two consecutive meetings of the Board.

An Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a yearly gathering where a company's shareholders and board of directors meet to discuss important aspects of the company. At the AGM, the directors present an annual report to update shareholders on the company's performance, strategy, and management.

The Board of Supervisors holds regular meetings at the County Administration Building, 1025 Escobar Street, Martinez. Meetings are held on Tuesdays beginning at a.m., however they do not occur on every Tuesday. Please check the calendar on the County homepage to see the dates of upcoming meetings.

(1) Every public company that is a limited company and has a share capital shall, within a period of not less than one month and not more than three months after the date at which it is entitled to commence business, hold a general meeting of the members of the company to be called the "statutory meeting".

Company meetings may be broadly divided into three types: i) Meetings of shareholders or members, ii) Meetings of Directors and iii) Other meetings. i) Statutory Meeting; il) Annual General Meeting; iii) Extraordinary General Meeting; and iv) Class Meetings.

It usually includes one or more specific items of business to be acted upon. It may, but is not required to, include specific times for one or more activities.

The call and notice shall specify the time and place of the special meeting and the business to be transacted. Forms may be obtained at the Office of the County Administrator, or Office of the Clerk of the Board, 1025 Escobar Street, 1st Floor, Martinez, California.Contra Costa LAFCO conducts public meetings in accordance with the requirements of the Ralph M. Brown Act and all other applicable governing legislation. The regular meetings shall be held the first Monday of each month at 1 p.m. Four members shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business in any meeting of the Board. No special meeting shall be held until at least twenty-four (24) hours after the call is issued. Denotes a required field. The Governing Board meets on the second Wednesday of the month. Meeting dates and times are subject to change and may occur up to two (2) days per month.
