If withdrawing is an option, take it. This will not affect your overall grade, although some schools will only allow a certain number of “hours attempted” and withdrawals will count toward those. However, failing a grade will negatively impact your overall GPA and will remain on your transcript.

A semester runs fifteen weeks. At Nassau, the fall semester begins in early September and continues through the third week in December. The spring semester begins in mid-January and concludes in mid-May.

Log into the MyNCC Portal. Click on Withdraw Grade = W box for the class you wish to withdraw from. Choose a reason for the withdrawal. Enter any comments you wish to include. Check the acknowledgment checkbox. Click Submit. Review your withdrawal submission.
