Before returning the marriage license to the county clerk who issued it, the officiant must record on the license the date of the ceremony, the county where it was performed, and their personal information. It must be returned not later than the 30th day after the ceremony. Section 2.206.

Weddings are scheduled by appointment, however walk-ins are welcomed so long as the Judge's schedule permits. A marriage license is required. The marriage license must be purchased at least 72 hours before the ceremony unless you have a waiver.

Dallas County Clerk's Office: Marriage license applications must be completed online. Once you've completed the application, you will be provided with an order number to book your appointment. Please make note of this order number, because you will need this number during the scheduling of your appointment.
