Marriage license applications may be filled out and saved online. However, applicants must appear in person to sign and purchase the marriage license.Starting Monday, October 17th, the County Clerk will begin offering remote marriage licenses. Tarrant County residents can apply for a marriage license remotely using Austinbased issuance system GovOS starting Oct. 17. With the virtual option, couples will have to fill out an application online, and upload a notarized affidavit to confirm their identity. The GovOS Remote Marriage License Issuance System enables citizens to complete their marriage license application without having to come into the office. Both parties must be 18 years or older. Both parties must be at least 18 years old and must have a valid governmentissued identification card. Getting a marriage license no longer requires a trip to the Tarrant County Clerk's Office.
