The last date of linking PAN with Aadhaar has been extended to June 30, 2023, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) said in a notification on March 28, 2023. Remember, once the penalty amount is paid, it will take 45 days to submit a PANAadhaar linking request. PAN holders who link PANAadhaar between 1st July 2022 to 30th June 2023 must pay a penalty of Rs.1,000. The official deadline for linking PAN with Aadhaar had expired on June 30, 2023, rendering noncompliant PANs inactive from July 1, 2023.
