Illinois Legal Aid Online provides a guided interview called an Easy Form that will help you fill out the forms. EFile in Cook County Courts; eFile training; Electronic Filing Service Providers (EFSPs) listings; and other eFiling resource information. Download and complete Motion and Notice forms from the Illinois Office of the Courts. The defendant must file an appearance and responsive pleading or answer within 30 days of being served with the summons. The person filing the pleading asks the other side to submit an answer. The other side is called the defendant or respondent.
