The Psalmist says, "Pour out your heart before him" (Psalm ). He then offers these comforting words, "God is a refuge for us" (Psalm ).Christ is before the Father pleading to you and me calling for us to repent, to turn back, to surrender our hearts to Him. All through the Bible we are told things like "make your requests known to God" (Philippians ). And so we pray to God in obedience to God. How did people actually pray in the Bible? When we look at Scripture's most famous prayers, our prayer life can grow in deep and unexpected ways. If you need justice, pray this prayer for justice and see God reverse unjust situations for you. He will fight on your behalf and bring you justice.
