All through the Bible we are told things like "make your requests known to God" (Philippians ). And so we pray to God in obedience to God.Ephesians tells us, "Therefore, do not foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me. Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for. The Psalmist says, "Pour out your heart before him" (Psalm ). He then offers these comforting words, "God is a refuge for us" (Psalm ). In Matthew , the most well-known "ask and you shall recieve" passages, Jesus encourages His followers and all mankind to truly seek the Kingdom of God. "Present your case," says the Lord.
