Mark Garrow, MIC, who died of cancer on Friday, Oct. 19.Interviewer: If someone like knows or feels that they're guilty, should they throw themselves on the mercy of the court or should they fight the charge? Some judges think that a defendant giving mitigation evidence (which is what a letter asking for mercy is) is the same as admitting guilt. The forms can be filled in on the computer.
