All civil division judges will handle LIEN and COMMERCIAL foreclosure cases in their division. The only cases going to the foreclosure division are residential.Hearings. (a) Generally. All hearings should be coordinated with opposing counsel. This begins the process. A prove up hearing is essentially a trial where you prove your side of the case in the absence of the other party. Once your case is filed, a pretrial date will be set. You will be given the pretrial date, time, room number and name of the Judge assigned to your case. Follow the Rules of Court and CCP to make sure your default is proper and enforceable. You must be prepared to enter evidence through documents and testimony.
