Follow the Rules of Court and CCP to make sure your default is proper and enforceable. You must be prepared to enter evidence through documents and testimony.At the end of a prove-up hearing, the judge will sign your final documents. Take them to the clerk in the courthouse and file them. Many pro se litigants are required to attend a "proveup hearing" or file a "proveup affidavit" as part of their case. During these hearings, the plaintiff must present solid evidence to back up their claims. You don't have to hire an attorney. Note to Subdivision (b).
