The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977 resulted from bribery of foreign government officials by Lockheed Aircraft Company. This Act is designed to prevent the bribing of foreign officials in order to obtain foreign government contracts. Payments to foreign officials for â€œfacilitation,â€ often referred to as grease payments, are not prohibited under FCPA so long as these payments are made only to get officials to do their normal jobs that they might not do, or would do slowly, without some payment. These payments can be made only to secure a permit or license; obtain paper processing; secure police protection; provide phone, water, or power supply; or similar such actions.

What is the Paris Agreement? The Paris Agreement is a legally binding international treaty on climate change. It was adopted by 196 Parties at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP21) in Paris, France, on 12 December 2015. It entered into force on 4 November 2016.

ISO 14064 is an international standard for quantifying and reporting greenhouse gas emissions. Part 1 guides development of a GHG inventory that can be compared to other inventories of other organizations regardless of sector or national origin. Part 3 establishes a process for verifying GHG inventory reports.

The Paris Agreement is a landmark in the multilateral climate change process because, for the first time, a binding agreement brings all nations together to combat climate change and adapt to its effects.
