Work study jobs are partially funded by the federal or state government. The FWS program gives students the opportunity to work on campus or in a community service position on a part-time basis. Students may work up to 20 hours per week and receive the funds for actual hours worked from Collin College.

As a service to Collin College students, the Financial Aid Office administers a comprehensive financial aid program that includes grants, loans and part-time employment for those who meet the eligibility requirements.
Collin College's Title IV School Code is 016792 and must be reported on the FAFSA application in order for aid to be processed by Collin College. Students must apply for financial aid each year.
The CWID number is noted on all student records, except official Collin College transcripts. The CWID number is listed on the student ID card and is used to access student services and records.
