You can file your claim by email, mail or in person, download a claim form, complete and print it, attach applicable documents and mail to the Labor Commissioner's Office. The claim forms and instructions can be downloaded and printed in multiple languages.

There are three ways that you can file a complaint: Call to have a Complaint Form mailed to you 1-800-321-CSLB (2752), OR. Use the On-line Complaint Form, OR. Download and Print a Complaint Form.

You can file all other DLSE complaints here. You may also download the DLSE complaint form and submit it via mail or in person at your nearest DLSE office. You can also file online if you plan to file with California's Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH).

If you work in California, you are covered by the California Labor Code. It does not matter where your company is "based" out of. As such, under California law, a "use it of lose it" policy is illegal.

Starting January 1, 2025, California law will prohibit employers from holding mandatory meetings during working hours to discuss political or religious matters, including union organizing. An employer that violates this law could be subject to a $500 penalty per employee per violation.
