This exemption is available to honorably discharged Georgia veterans who are considered disabled according to any of several criteria. Please attach proof of the qualifying deployment with your application. Provides an additional homestead property tax exemption for members of the US military or military reserves, the United States Coast Guard or its reserves. Must provide Deployed Military Exemption Application (Form DR-501M). A servicemember who receives a homestead exemption may receive an additional ad valorem tax exemption on that homestead property as provided in this section. You do not need to reapply if you refinance your home. For all exemptions, the property must be in the name of the applicant.
