In addition to the proof of Florida residency, you must be residing on the property as your primary residence as of January 1st. Social Security numbers are required for all owners and their spouses making application, even if the spouse does not own and/or reside on the property, per Florida Statute.

The deadline is March 1 each year. The deadline to file a timely application for 2025 is March 3, 2025. Under Florida law, failure to file for any exemption by March 1 constitutes a waiver of the exemption privilege for 2025. How do I file?

An additional income-based Senior Exemption is available in most municipalities and unincorporated Pinellas County. To qualify, at least one property owner must be 65 years of age or older, already receive homestead exemption, live in a tax district offering the exemption, and meet the total household income limit.

To qualify for school tax exemption, your property must be owner-occupied and you must be 62 years of age by January 1 of the qualifying year. You must provide proof of age (copy of drivers license, birth certificate, Georgia state identification card, etc.).

Georgia Program Overview. Property Tax-Aide features three property tax relief programs in Georgia: Homestead Exemption for 65+, Disabled Veteran/Surviving Spouse Exemption, and the Standard Homestead Exemption.

Age 65 + Exemption from State Ad Valorem Tax If you qualify for one of the other homestead exemptions listed and are age 65 or older as of January 1, you also qualify for an exemption from the State portion of ad valorem taxes in an amount equal to 100% of the value of your home and up to 10 acres of land.

The Standard Homestead Exemption is available to all homeowners who otherwise qualify by ownership and residency requirements and it is an amount equal to $2,000 which is deducted from the 40% assessed value of the homestead property.
