This new digital passenger entry form has been available since November 29, 2020, and can be filled out any time from one week before your arrival up until just before you go through immigration.

The form can be found on the website of the Dirección General de Migración (General Directorate of Migration) of the Dominican Republic. The form requires travelers to provide their name, date of birth, passport number, flight information, and intended dates of travel.

Before, the earliest you could apply for your eTicket was 72 hours before your travel date. This regulation has since changed; the eTicket can be filled out as soon as you have your flight information, even months in advance. There's no specified expiration time for the QR code once it has been generated.

Although Dominican law technically allows U.S. citizens to enter the country on other proof of U.S. citizenship (U.S. birth certificate, Naturalization Certificate, etc.) along with a photo ID, numerous U.S. travelers have been prohibited from departing the Dominican Republic on such documents.
