That must be our resolution. As Ben Franklin says, "perform without fail what you resolve." Once you resolve to do something, then you must do it. A phrase like, "Think of small treats for others" or "Show up!" or "Answer the phone with good cheer" floats into my mind at relevant moments. Resolve to perform what you ought; perform without fail what you resolve. Frugality. If you've made a New Year's resolution, your plot for selfimprovement probably kicks into gear sometime on Jan. Resolution is the firm determination to accomplish what you set out to do. Resolution is about doing less. It's about doing the important things, and deciding what should be let go. Resolution is the lost virtue.
