Rule 341 - Briefs (a)F orm of Briefs. Briefs shall be submitted in clear, black text on white pages, each measuring 81/2 by 11 inches. The text must be double-spaced; however, headings may be single-spaced. Margins must be at least 11/2 inch on the left side and 1 inch on the other three sides.
8 The Illinois Code of Civil Procedure (Code) requires pleadings to “contain a plain and concise statement of the pleader's cause of action, counterclaim, defense, or reply.”9 In other words, the pleading must contain a plain statement identifying what the pleader is alleging or denying.

Verification of pleadings. (a) Any pleading, although not required to be sworn to, may be verified by the oath of the party filing it or of any other person or persons having knowledge of the facts pleaded.
At the request of a party the court shall order witnesses excluded so that they cannot hear the testimony of other witnesses, and it may make the order of its own motion.
Rule 101(d) summons must be served within 30 days after its date. A rule 101(d) summons covers all other summons where the defendant must file an answer or appear within 30 days.
All dates set for the disclosure of witnesses, including rebuttal witnesses, and the completion of discovery shall be chosen to ensure that discovery will be completed not later than 60 days before the date on which the trial comt reasonably anticipates that trial will commence, unless otherwise agreed by the parties.
The education plan shall assure that a child, while in Department custody, receives a public education of a kind and quality comparable to the public education provided to children not in Department custody. The education plan shall be completed within 30 days after commencement of court-ordered temporary custody.
