IDES supports the temporary Alien Employment Certification Program under an annual grant from the US Department of Labor. To apply for an EAD, you must file Form I765, Application for Employment Authorization with USCIS, along with the following required documents.US Passport or US Passport Card 2. File both forms at the location specified for the other application or petition. For example, if you are filing Form I-765 with Form I-539 or Form I-485. All employers are required to report new employees to their state's New Hire Directory with 20 days of the employee's first day on the payroll. All US employers must properly complete Form I9 for every individual they hire for employment in the United States. This includes citizens and noncitizens. The I-9 will ask the employee to provide their status in the United States. The J-2 dependent of an exchange visitor may apply to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for work permission.
