My partner and I have been looking for apartments for the past month or so now and have applied to a handful of units -- all of which have been rejected. You can ask, but they don't have to answer.They also don't have to be truthful, as admitting to discrimination of any kind is admission of an illegal action. Good income, high credit, plus a guarantor. I applied to an apartment and was denied, but found out later it may have been because of my career.
