All people in the State of Florida twenty-one years of age and older shall have the right under state laws to possession, use, and cultivation of cannabis. Florida does allow limited use of marijuana for medicinal purposes, but not for "recreational" use.Amendment 3 would allow anyone age 21 and over to possess or buy marijuana for their own recreational use. Amendment 3 will be on the ballot, potentially legalizing the recreational use of marijuana for those 21 and older. The product name may not contain wording commonly associated with products that are attractive to children or which promote the recreational use of marijuana. 24, 2023, 38 states, three territories and the District of Columbia allow the medical use of cannabis products. Florida is on its fifth try to legalize recreational marijuana with a ballot initiative, and a record amount of money is supporting it. The initiative would have legalized recreational marijuana for adults 21 years old and older. As of December 2022, cannabis is now legal for those over the age of 21 to possess, buy and deliver up to 3 ounces of marijuana.
