The Kingston Caregiver Stress Scale (KCSS) is primarily a scale used to monitor change in a family caregiver's stress level over time. The scale is designed for community living lay caregivers, not institutional care staff.
Total score: SCORING KEY: o to 20 = little or no burden; 21 to 40 = mild to moderate burden; 41 to 60 = moderate to severe burden; 61 to 88 = severe burden.

The Parent/Caregiver Involvement Scale – Short Form (P/CIS-SF) is a reliable measure of parenting in high-risk parent-infant dyads. The P/CIS-SF shows no floor effect with high-risk dyads, with the exception of teaching and learning environment.
