Delaware Release and Authorization is a legal document used to grant someone else the authority to act on behalf of another person or entity. It is most commonly used when an individual, business, or organization wants to appoint an agent to represent them in certain business matters. It allows the appointed agent to have the power to bind their principal in legal matters. There are two main types of Delaware Release and Authorization: General Release and Authorization and Limited Release and Authorization. General Release and Authorization is used when an individual or organization grants authority to an agent to act on their behalf in all matters related to a particular transaction. Limited Release and Authorization is used when an individual or organization grants authority to an agent to act on their behalf in some, but not all, matters related to a particular transaction.
