The Kentucky Certificate of Performance of Community Service (KC PCS) is an official document issued by the Kentucky Department of Education that recognizes students for their exemplary volunteer service. This certificate is awarded to individuals who have completed volunteer service hours in Kentucky in an organized, supervised, and approved program. The certificate acknowledges the student’s dedication to service and is a valuable asset in college and job applications. There are two types of Kentucky Certificate of Performance of Community Service. The first type is the standard Certificate, which is available to any Kentucky resident who has completed at least 25 hours of service within a 12-month period. The second type is the Advanced Certificate, which is available to any Kentucky resident who has completed at least 75 hours of service within a 12-month period. The Advanced Certificate is a higher level of recognition that showcases the recipient’s commitment to community service.
