The Nebraska Notice of Intent to Request Redaction is used to inform a state court that the party filing the notice is seeking to redact sensitive information from a court document. Redacting information is the process of removing or obscuring confidential, personal or proprietary information, so that it is not visible to the public. The Nebraska Notice of Intent to Request Redaction must be filed before the documents are filed with the court. There are two types of Nebraska Notice of Intent to Request Redaction. The first type is a Notice of Intent to Request Redaction of Personal Information. This type of notice is used when a party wishes to redact personal information, such as an individual’s name, address, phone number, or Social Security number. The second type is a Notice of Intent to Request Redaction of Proprietary Information. This type of notice is used when a party wishes to redact proprietary information, such as trade secrets, confidential business information, or confidential financial information.
